Social Media Today

Class Length: 90 minutes

More than half of the global population uses some form of social media. Social Media Today explores the prevalence of social media amongst young people and the effects it has on their mental and physical health. This presentation aims to equip parents and educators with the knowledge and strategies necessary to help young people navigate the landscape of social media and help to counter some of the more negative effects it can have on their health.

Trevor Nicholson is a CSEA Member Education/Staff Development Representative dedicated to providing high quality training and development to CSEA members and staff. Trevor has a bachelor's degree in Human Communications from CSU Monterey Bay with a focus on Journalism & Media Studies and aims to use a passion for stories and connection to create training opportunities that are useful, educational, and forward-thinking.
