Enhancing Prompting Strategies in Autism Interventions

Class Length: 90 minutes

Prompting is a widely utilized technique in autism interventions to support skill acquisition, behavior management, and social communication. This training presents a systematic approach to implementing evidence-based prompting strategies based on the California Autism Professional Training and Information Network (CAPTAIN) framework, which emphasizes the importance of empirical research, practitioner expertise, and family collaboration.

The CAPTAIN framework guides the selection, implementation, and evaluation of prompting strategies, ensuring they are evidence-based and tailored to the unique needs of each individual with ASD. It promotes the integration of research findings into practice, enabling professionals and caregivers to make informed decisions about when, where, and how to use prompting effectively.
