Welcome to District A
I am so glad that you stopped by to visit our website. District A has over 1,000 members and growing. We have 9 Councils throughout our huge area. Our demographic area includes Yolo, Sacramento, El Dorado, Placer, Yuba , Colusa, Glenn, Butte, Sierra, Plumas, Tehama, Trinity, Shasta, Lassen, Modoc and Sisikiyou, everything in-between. Needless to say, to visit all of these areas it takes a lot of driving, but I love my members so driving across the land doesn't bother me.
The Retiree Unit has 11 District Directors for the 11 Districts we represent in California and if you didn't know, we are out of state, too. District A is proud to mention their Life Member/Honor Roll honorees.

Did you know that your Social Security Check will get a small bump in 2025. The COLA ends up being a 2.5% increase in January 2025.
Although you will see a raise, it will be offset by the Medicare premium increase in Part B going from $174.80 to $185.00 per month. This would effectively reduce the Social Security COLA by $10.20 a month for most recipients. Not much or a wash!
