Retiree District C

Welcome to the District C Microsite. We are one of 11 Retiree Unit Districts in the state. Each District is represented by a District Director, who is elected to serve on the CSEA Retiree Unit Executive Board.

Earlier this month I was sworn in as the new District C Director.  I want to thank Jill Ferguson Scott for her dedication to the retirees of District C during her years representing us as the District C Director.  I have asked Jill to continue to maintain this Facebook page and remain as the webmaster of the District C website since she has done such a wonderful job keeping us all informed on both sites.  Jill has helped me so much as I transition into my new position and I wanted to publicly thank her….thank you Jill.

I look forward to representing the retirees of District C.  Please save the date - April 23, 2025 for our Annual District C Retiree Luncheon.  More information will be mailed out next month.

I have enjoyed attending many of our District C Council meetings and keeping the retirees informed.  With the recent passage of HR 82: The Social Security Fairness Act, please make sure you log into ssa.gov to verify your mailing address and direct deposit information are up to date.  More information is forthcoming.

Are you a Victory Club member?  Please check with your Council President if you are not sure.  When you retired, your contribution to the Victory Club stopped.  If you did not sign up for the Victory Club when you filled out your CSEA Retiree Membership application, you are no longer a Victory Club member.  It is never too late to sign up.  Log onto the CSEA website and fill out the form online.

Want to have some fun being creative?  Ask your Council President about the opportunity to build the Retirement Gingerbread House of your dreams.  Teams of 2 to 5 CSEA Retiree members of your Council may participate.  The foundation can be made of non-edible material to hold up the weight of the structure(s), landscape, and props.  A minimum of 50% of the structure shall be edible.  Each team is responsible for their own supplies. Each team is also responsible for submitting to their Council President the team name, picture of the team member’s names, and pictures of all sides and top of structure(s).  Only one finalist from each Council will be allowed to continue to the District level.  Councils with more than one entry, must vote on one entry to represent the Council at the District level by March 22, 2025.  Council President’s or designee shall send the winning entry to the District Director by March 24, 2025.  No late entries will be accepted.  If more than one Council in the District has a finalist, voting will take place March 31-April 12, 2025 via the District’s microsite.  The winner will move onto the final round which he voting will take place April 21-May 3, 2025.  The winner be announced at the May 14, 2025 RUEB meeting.  Winners will receive bragging rights until the next competition!  Good luck!
