We are True Blue 52!

Welcome to CSEA Castro Valley Chapter 52!

CSEA Castro Valley Chapter 52 is one of the oldest chapters in California.  We are the classified unit for Castro Valley Unified School District and we represent Paraeducators, Clerical Employees, Financial Services Employees, Health Technicians, Registrars, Schedulers, Bus & Van Drivers, Maintenance Workers, Building and Grounds, Mechanics, Analysts, School Supply Techs, Food Service Employees, Skilled Tradesmen, Behavioral Techs, Library Technicians, Campus Security Personnel, Warehouse Workers, Secretaries, and Computer/Technical/Informational Employees.   We are comprised of nearly 350 classified school employees who are dedicated to keeping our schools safe and operational for the Castro Valley Community.

Through the hard work and efforts of our dedicated Negotiations Committee, we have bargained for substantial wage increases and safer working conditions for the men and women working in the Classified Education Field.  Our negotiations team is comprised of Chapter Members who are from the many different families of employees within our bargaining unit so that we can ensure that all members from our very varied spectrum of employees are represented.

Each year we work with the District to review the many different job families within our bargaining unit to insure that the job descriptions are accurate and fairly reflect what the various classified employees provide in service to our district daily.  This is done through a series of surveys that our dedicated employees fill out to provide chapter Leadership with feedback on their daily routines and responsibilities.

Chapter 52's Leadership has a long history of advocating for and protecting it's members and we always work closely with our CSEA Labor Relations Representative to provide the best representation for our Chapter Members.  We are ever vigilant in our desire to keep our chapter strong.  We are True Blue 52 and together we bargain, divided we beg!

Chapter 52 Site Representatives

A Site Representative is responsible for posting updates and dispersing other vital chapter information at their respective sites on CSEA Designated Bulletin Boards.  They are not Job Stewards or Union Representatives, but if a member is in need of Union Representation, the Site Rep can make sure you are put in contact with either a Job Steward or other member of Chapter Leadership so that you can be fully represented and protected.  Site Reps serve a valuable role in the daily operations of our local chapter and we are grateful for their time and service to True Blue 52.
