Area K Director's Message: December 19, 2024

Welcome to Area K 2024
December 19, 2024

Dear CSEA Members of Area K:

As we approach the holiday season, I want to take a moment to wish you and your loved one’s joy, peace and warmth during this special time of year. Holidays provide an opportunity to reconnect with the people we hold dear, share traditions, and create new memories together.

It's also important to remember the value of taking time for ourselves. After a year of dedication and hard work, we all deserve a moment to rest, recharge, and reflect. Whether it's spending quiet time at home, indulging in a favorite hobby, or simply relaxing, self-care is essential for our well-being.

Thank you for your continued commitment to our mission of improving the lives of our members and students and for everything you do to strengthen our community, I hope this season brings you happiness and renewal as we prepare to take on new challenges in the coming year.

I wish you and your family a wonderful holiday season and a prosperous New Year!

New Area K Website

We are thrilled to introduce the new Area K website (https://csea.com/areas/k) thoughtfully created by our appointed Webmaster, Phi Tran, member of La Mesa Spring Valley Chapter 419. This platform is designed to be a one-stop shop for all things Area K!

The website provides quick and easy access to information about our Area and Regional leadership, making it simple to stay connected with your representatives and leaders. It also houses a comprehensive directory of our Area State Committee Representatives, ensuring that you know who to reach out to for support and guidance.

One of the standout features is going to be the Calendar of Events which will keep you up to date on important meetings, training sessions and events happening in Area K and out of the San Diego Field Office. Additionally, the News section will highlight updates and stories from across our chapters, so you'll always know what's happening in our community.

This growing Resource Kit within the website is going to be invaluable for you as a member to obtain tools, guides and materials to help you better understand and engage with CSEA at the Area level. This website is a reflection of our commitment to providing members with the resources you will need to thrive.

I invite you to explore the Area K website and see how it can support your journey within CSEA. Together, let's make Area K stronger than ever!

Area K Hosts the January 2025 CSEA Board of Directors Meeting

I am proud to announce that Area K will be hosting the January 2025 CSEA Board of Directors Meeting, and for the first time, this meeting will take place in the Imperial Valley. Mark your calendars for:

Saturday, January 18, 2025
9:00am
Imperial County Office of Education
1398 Sperber Rd.

Four times a year, the CSEA Board of Directors steps out of its San Jose headquarters to bring our meetings to different regions across California, giving our members a unique opportunity to engage and see their Board in action. This is a chance to interact with CSEA leadership and experience the decision-making process firsthand. I personally invite you to join us and show your Area K pride as we come together to host this significant event. Let's make it a memorable day for all!!

*Association President Adam Weinberger will be using this meeting to do an installation of officers for newly elected chapter officers.
