We are getting closer
The Negotiations Team met with the District again on Wednesday, April 20, 2022.
We discussed the District’s proposal regarding holidays during “4/10” workweeks (4-days, 10-hours a day). The District and CSEA came to an agreement.
The agreement is going through the Policy 610 process after which we will present the agreement to the membership for ratification.
We also had a presentation from Keenan and Associates. They presented quotes from a number of direct carriers, trusts, and JPAs. Your Negotiations Team is going through the information. We still have some questions and are asking for more information. As soon as we have the information we need, we will present our findings to the membership.
It has been at least two months that the District has put off responding to our salary proposal for the current school year. We have tried to be patient and see no reason to keep stalling this discussion. One comment had to do with waiting for the May Revise, but that has to do with next year’s budget, not this year.
We deserve the dignity and respect to have our proposals responded to in a timely manner.
There has not been another session scheduled with the District.
