As the only retiree to submit candidate papers for the office of Retiree Unit Executive Board Chairperson, Matha Penry was duly elected to that office and sworn in by Association Past President Ben Valdepeña at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, Nevada during the 2023 CSEA Annual Conference.
