Vote of No Confidence
RESOLUTION OF CHAPTER 862 OF THE
CALIFORNIA SCHOOL EMPLOYEES ASSOCIATION
Establishing a Vote of “No Confidence” and support of a recall against
Sunol School Board Members Ryan Jergensen and Linda Hurley
To: Superintendent Molleen Barnes and Sunol Glen School Board of Education
It is with great reluctance as the Classified School Employees Association (CSEA) members at Sunol Glen School, that we respectfully submit this letter as our official notice regarding a majority Vote of No Confidence and support for a recall of two Board members, Ryan Jergensen and Linda Hurley, and request that this letter be reviewed and considered by all Board Members and the Superintendent.
The actions of Linda Hurley and Ryan Jergensen have created an extremely challenging work environment. We all believe that these problems directly stem from an unwillingness of these two Board members to provide effective, competent, compassionate, and trustworthy leadership to the school. We believe that these problems have had a corrosive effect on staff morale and have fostered a climate of fear, anxiety, and uncertainty.
In light of the above, the CSEA Chapter #862 members at Sunol Glen School are now formally advising the Sunol Glen Unified School District Superintendent and Board Members that we have NO CONFIDENCE that neither Ryan Jergensen and Linda Hurley have the capacity to provide Sunol Glen School with the quality leadership and oversight that is essential to the school’s health, effectiveness and functioning. We submit that Ryan Jergensen and Linda Hurley lack a sincere desire to seek meaningful changes in Board practices.
AGREED-UPON by the CSEA Chapter 862 Executive Board on October 9, 2023.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the CSEA Chapter 862 Sunol Glen School Staff Members October 11, 2023.
