Improving the lives of our members through technology
Dear CSEA Siblings,
During our March meeting, the membership approved amendments to our constitution to transition from in-person paper ballots to online ballots for all secret ballot votes. According to CSEA policy and our Chapter Constitution, the following votes must be held by secret ballot: Election of chapter officers, election of conference delegates and alternatives, all negotiated agreements (MOUs, TAs, etc.), and amendments to our Chapter Constitution that involve dues. Once the changes approved by our members are also approved by CSEA and we receive our updated Constitution, we can commence using Balloteer for our elections. Using Balloteer will ensure the confidentiality of a member’s secret ballot since only the Balloteer will know who and how they votes.
Our Chief Teller, Amy Valencia, will be responsible for setting up the ballots and sending out the notifications. She is also the sole individual authorized to access the site for ballot setup and results retrieval. Part of this process involves emailing each member’s username and password for the respective ballot. CSEA will provide us with their list of email records to ensure only our members gain access to the ballots.
To verify or update your contact information, please log into the CSEA website: https://csea.com. If you encounter any login issues, contact webhelp@csea.com. Once on CSEA.com, check your contact information by clicking on the “My CSEA” link at the top of the page and following the instructions on the "edit your profile" tab. Additionally, if your district email is your recorded email address, consider updating your CSEA account to link to your personal email by visiting: https://csea.com/email. This prevents Balloteer emails from being mistakenly marked as spam by Google, the District’s email provider.
