Support Your Dedicated Negotiation Team: Your Voice at the Table

Together we have a voice at the table
February 24, 2025

Behind every successful contract, there's a dedicated team working tirelessly to represent your interests. We're proud to introduce your CSEA Negotiation Team, a diverse group of individuals representing six distinct job categories within our district, alongside an invaluable at-large member. This team brings a wealth of experience, with several members having served for a year or more, providing crucial insight and continuity to our negotiations.

Our team's strength lies in its representation of our collective membership. The larger and more unified our membership, the more powerful our voice becomes at the negotiation table. Each member represented strengthens the team's ability to advocate for our needs.

It's important to remember that negotiations extend far beyond wages and benefits. Your team diligently addresses a wide range of critical contract articles, including grievances, leaves, evaluations, safety, training, and more. They strive to ensure our contract reflects fair and equitable working conditions for all.

If you have ideas or suggestions for contract improvements, your input is vital! We encourage you to reach out to your negotiation team members and actively participate in the process.

Our negotiation team members include:

  • Angie Gutierrez, Chapter President

  • Ronda Walen, Retired CSEA Member

  • Lisa Varela, Office Manager, Marco Forester MS

  • Miguel Mendoza Custodian IV, Dana Hills HS

  • Sandy Clark, Paraeducator IV, Newhart MS

  • Nikki Burns, Technology Assistant Specialist, TIS

  • Jennifer Moffroid, Library Media Technician, San Clemente HS

  • Jacquelyn Crummett, Lead Food Service Professional, Bernice Ayer MS

  • Maggie Gates, CSEA Labor Relations Representative

By supporting and providing input to these dedicated individuals, we can collectively shape a contract that truly represents the needs and aspirations of our entire membership. Let's work together to build a stronger future for all.
