Topics Discussed:

 

The District and CSEA reviewed all changes agreed upon in our last negotiations session on the Flexible/Hybrid Work documents for Confidential, Classified and management employees.  Both parties discussed a few more minor changes and edits in the Flexible/Hybrid Assignment agreement and the Flexible and NOCCCD Flexible/Hybrid Work guidelines.    Training for all staff, call back times, focus on six principles of flexible/hybrid work and students needs, and calendaring were discussed mainly.  

 

CSEA and the District agreed on the Flexible/Hybrid Assignment agreement, Flexible/Hybrid Work Assignment request form and NOCCCD Flexible/Hybrid Work guidelines for Confidential, Classified and management employees to be put in a two-year MOU.    CSEA and the District both have an interest to add this to our CBA eventually as an optional work schedule (article 10).  

 

All employees (Classified, Confidential and Management) interested in this work schedule will need to review the Flexible/Hybrid Assignment guidelines and attend a mandatory training session held by the District.  The District will start rolling out the mandatory training dates next week.  There will be in-person and Zoom meeting options.   This process is being expedited to ensure that everyone has time to attend the mandatory training and submit their request form before August 14, 2023.

Remaining steps to this topic:  Final review of all changes of three Flexible/Hybrid Work proposal documents.   Final drafts to be email to membership when returned from HR.

Next Steps for CSEA:   Policy 610 approval from CSEA,  Chapter Ratification meeting & vote
